A couple of winters ago I came up with the "big idea" of painting all
of the railroad stations on the D&H Adirondack line between Greenfield
and North Creek. Ten were scattered along the tracks, some are
gone and a few are still standing. I did a little research and
gathered a some historic photos, and we have taken many pictures through
the years of the existing structures. Then came the sad news that
the town of Corinth used this charming old building as a practice fire. They said it had fallen too far into disrepair
to be restored. I decided it should be the first painting and
planned to get most of the others done before this summer.
Unfortunately, things didn't turn out as planned and this is the only
painting finished. Getting them all done may take a while. But in
the meantime, here is the Corinth Depot as it looked about 20 years ago,
lonely but still charming.

I'm still working on getting the reproduction colors corrected. I
think the new printer is going to do the trick. Hopefully I'll
have them soon!
