Lynn's paintings have been displayed in many juried shows
in the Saratoga and Adirondack regions. She has shown in the annual
regional competition at Crandall
Library in Glens Falls where she has
earned both second and first place ribbons. Her works have received
several awards at the Saratoga Arts council's "Art in the
Park" shows. In 1994 and 1996 lynn's wildflower paintings were
selected for the "Focus on Nature" exhibit at the N.Y. state
museum in Albany. She has had solo shows at the General Electric
Research and Development Center in Niskayuna, and the Adirondack
Mountain Club headquarters Lake George. Lynn has won numerous awards at
juried shows and regional competitions including the logo design for the
Saratoga National Historical Park in 1986.
Lynn's works are also in many corporate and private collections
in the United States and Japan. A painting of two wounded American
soldiers in Viet Nam hangs at the Reagan Presidential library. Rocky
Aoki, adventurer and founder of the Benihana Corporation has several
benevento paintings of hot air balloons.
In 2002, one of lynn's paintings was chosen to represent Warren
County as a gift to New York State governor Pataki. Her work, "A
Perfect Summer Afternoon" was featured on the cover of the Trans
Western Telephone directory for the Glens Falls Region. Lynn and her
artwork were featured in an eight page article in the 2004 winter issue
of "Saratoga Living" magazine.
Lynn lives in scenic Lake Luzerne, in the Adirondack Park, with her
husband, Gino, and their two sons. She is a frequent hiker (she has climbed 41
of the 46 Adirondack "High Peaks") and draws her inspiration
for her paintings from the woods and mountains.
In June of 1999 the benevento's opened the lynn benevento gallery in
scenic Lake Luzerne, New York. The gallery features lynn's work
exclusively.
"I love to be walking in the woods or sitting with my family and
friends on a mountaintop. I thank God for those times," lynn says.
"When I paint, I try to make those moments last forever."
